Yesterday the owner of the Miami Marlins has agreed to sell the team to a Derek Jeter and Michael Jordan led group of investors. The team sold for 1.2 billion and the new owners have a lot of work to do. The team hasn’t been the same since the passing of 24 year old ace Jose Fernandez. The team decided not to be sellers at the trade deadline and to let the new owners do what they want with the young core players. Those players include Stanton, Yelich, Ozuna, and others. The Marlins are in a prime location with quality players. If the new owners get moving the Marlins could easily wind up being a playoff team next year.
